Or one other thought - the exhibition focused on the life of Freud’s housekeeper who seems to have been a very interesting person in her own right. We’ve seen lots of housekeeping and cleaning staff (especially with Eastern European connections - Letsinka, Jimmy’s girlfriend, the lady who lets Strike in at Tara’s - through the Strike novel but never had one front and centre… maybe we’ll see that?

I've thought about that, or maybe an important clue will be that something has been moved or repositioned. I'm even thinking our detectives might sense an intruder in the office or apartments this way. Wouldn't it be cool if Pat was the one who noticed.

Oh yes! Littlejohn comes back… or someone from Navabi’s agency

That some seriously good sleuthing!

Maybe something happens to either Robin or Ryan en route to the Ritz near the exhibition…

I have been wondering if Ryan might be the subject of some kind of revenge attack for the mess up around the two boys as per the lyrics to Romeo is Bleeding (mentioned in THM)

I’ve done a quick search of Freud through the past books and can only find three mentions. Two are Strike saying basically “you don’t need to be Freud to work that out” in relation to Robin’s panic attack in LW and “Freud would have a field day with that” about something to do with Anomie. The more interesting one is an epigraph from Blue Oyster Cult lyrics in COE.

- Freud, have mercy on my soul. Blue Öyster Cult, ‘Still Burnin’’

It’s the epigraph for the Jason and Tempest chapter

I really hope Ryan stays safe and healthly. Remember Robin's response to the seaborne bacteria.

Lyrics could definitely be the way poor Strike is feeling right now 🤣🤣

Maraschino cherry lipstick

Drop dead gorgeous, to her fingertips

Hold me tighter in your arms

Let’s set off the smoke alarm

And I'm still burnin'

Burnin' for your love

And I'm still burnin'

Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin')

Take me to the edge of madness

Let me feel your secret passion

Freud have mercy on my soul

I can't fight this anymore

And I'm still burnin'

Burnin' for your love

And I'm still burnin'

Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') I'm burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') I'm burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin')

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') I'm burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') Burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin') I'm burnin' for your love

(I'm still burnin')

Will wait to see if any of these theories pan out to be true.

Don't hold your breath.

Hi Louise - I've responded on Reddit!

I've decided that if Strike and Robin are in need of another detective partner, someone who can produce so much analysis from a photo of Freud's desk would fit the bill perfectly!

When can you start at Denmark Street?

I think I'm best suited to help Pat bake. My current speciality is Swiss cake rolls.
