Louise, yet another fantastic post with such insight and thought provoking speculation.

The idea of an alternative source of Sleep Tight, Evangeline as the song behind the title is highly intriguing.

You are so right to focus on the different ways in which others 'see' Robin, her mother and the excreble parents of RFM!, as opposed to Robin's self view and that of Strike.

Her own viewpoint has been, undoubtedly, shaken by recent events at Chapman Farm and the pernicious influence of RFM but let's hope that STE goes some way towards restoring her equilibrium.

What a gift to find this post after slogging through news and emails! Your work brings me so much happiness and renews my energy. Thank you!! This is a brilliant find, especially when supported by the tidbit that it was popular in Portugal when she lived there. Do you know if there are any suggestions that JKR knew of Whisky Shambles? Or might be attracted to their music?

Nick reported that she subscribes to their Twitter account, but we have no idea when that started. The account itself hasn't had any new posts since 2018 and has only 268 (including at least three known Strike fans, who are presumably recent editions.) They have done some Tom Waits covers and tribute concerts, so maybe that's a connection (or how Strike discovers them in STE?)

The Cocteau Twins also have a song titled "Lorelei" on their album "Treasure".

I've heard at least one suggestion that she could be back next book

This feels so right! I love how you tied Johari’s Window to it. I hope this is the direct STE goes! Thank you for sharing your insights! ❤️

Thank you for this insight. One question: You wrote that Jonathan must grow out of being the problem child now that he is a father. Confused. Do you mean Martin here?

Yes, thanks. I'll correct that.
