A bunch of us have been noticing the number to times Strike has a Psyche-like reference - and wonder if she’s playing with the myth both ways - so Strike as the Psyche to Robin’s Cupid, just as much as she is the Psyche to his? Both holding up the light and the knife illuminating the true nature of each other.

That would be a neat idea. I always liked the idea of Strike and Robin being Castor and Pollux, too.

Alabama and Virginia, eh? Was born in Tennessee myself, and most of my family are originally from West Virginia, though we've lived in Ohio for decades.

Excellent take on things that may appear in the next novel.

A bit of an aside, but just wondering about the significance of the dog being called Lennon, and thinking it might be Sgt PEPPER'S Lonely Hearts Club Band.

The best I'd come up with before was a link between Lennon and Wardle's son Liam, being connected to Liam Gallagher of Oasis and his son Lennon.

I assumed it was following the fish pattern of male singers named John. I fully expect Entwhistle and Fogarty fish before we are done.

I can’t think of the make-up Artist or beautician Strike interviews in Lethal White. Someone help me out?
