This is wonderful. I read so much literature based in the UK that I know what a Christmas pudding looks like but really enjoyed the photo you shared of Flavia's likely outfit! Thank you! I also appreciate that your analysis points out great things about the series-book and audio- but also missteps like Glenister's weak Southern accent. In fact on the subject of Glenister, whose narration I love, I would have thought there was not enough money in the world to make him willing to narrate The Ink Black Heart for the audiobook so thanks to him for pushing through. I always listen first to his narration, and then read the physical book when one comes out, and I found listening to the audiobook very tough going with the game chats and the infinite @'s. The book was much more enjoyable read in hardback, I thought. As for poor Flavia, I wish the book had ended with Robin checking in on her.
